All of our Amber fossils are from Chiapas, Mexico. 99% of our fossils are from the area near Simojovel. Very few come from Totolapa and they are clearly marked. The approximate age is between 22 and 26 million years old, lower Miocene to upper Oligocene. In Simojovel it is traditional to negotiate for amber fossils. We will review all offers on our fossils or inclusions. Anyone wanting a large collection can talk to me about the particulars. I am willing to do guided trips into Simojovel and Totolapa, so you can search for fossils.
We cut our fossils to maximize the assets of the piece. Cutting for photography we cut as flat a plane as possible. For describable fossils we cut as many windows as possible. I am learning to determine which views are more important. Some fossils require a stabilizer, these fossils will be clearly marked. Please excuse my lack of knowledge in Entomology.
